There's four hundred meters to the bottom of the fjord, and high above sits the snow covered mountain peaks. And in between, we live.
Walking With A Nordic Limp is set amongst the fjords and mountains on the west coast of Norway, and tells a somewhat diffuse story of the people and landscape there. It is not a description of a place but it's more about a mood and a feeling that a certain place can create. This is home to me but we are all visitors in this place, only the weather and the rough environment can truly be at home here. This project is loosely based around the lyrics of a song written a long time ago, that acted as a main thread throughout the project and became the backbone of everything.

The project was shot in and around Hjørundfjorden in Sunnmøre, between 2018 to 2022 on analog black & white film.
